With a homeless 2013
instalation/ mixed media
have been neglected by the administration. Homeless people only have one life, too. So, riding on the
popularity of 'yuru-chara' (costumed mascots), 'Garter', the homeless stuffed toy was created with the
aim of allowing homeless people to gain respect from society and ease their pain. Garter is exhibited
alongside a crib. The message that this installation conveys is an educational one ? that humans do not
have hierarchy. Visitors are invited to hug Garter in order to experience the barriers that homeless peoplec
have on a daily basis.

社会から排除され遠ざけられているホームレスの人々。彼、彼女らの人権は行政からも大人からも子供からも蔑ろにされ
ている。一生活である彼、彼女らへのリスペクトから、社会的な忌みを緩和するためゆるキャラブームに乗っかり、 ホー
ムレスの縫いぐるみ「ガーターさん」を創作し、ベビーベッドを設え展示。人間に上下はないというメッセージを込めた
基本教育をイメージしたインスタレーション。 観客にも「ガーターさん」を抱いてもらうことで、日常の中でのホームレ
スとの垣根を感じてもらう。
